Hailing from Ōtautahi Christchurch, Lucy Gray is a singer-songwriter whose alt-pop sits somewhere between bedroom confession and big-room drama. Drawing on alt-rock and indie, and carried by a voice all their own, Gray's debut EP whole life waiting, made with producers Andy and Vic Knopp of The Response, spawned singles like "pretty," "coffee breath" and "not fair." Fans of Phoebe Bridgers, Soccer Mommy and Chappell Roan will feel right at home.
Since then, Gray has only sharpened their edge. Their first headline show at Auckland's legendary Tuning Fork previewed a new EP alongside recent single "Saviourism," showing off a real gift for singalong melodies. Now they're bringing that new chapter across the Tasman for Lucy's first international tour, playing Auckland's Whammy Bar on October 30, Melbourne's Bad Decisions on December 11, and an all-ages show at Sydney's Lansdowne on December 12.
